Auugh, I hate hate hate hate the end of the semester. >< Please forgive me. I can barely remember my head these days. I’ve been meaning to get back here for ages now.
Ah, yes, only for the hospital-grade morphine, though. xD The stuff they sent me home with - percocet, I think? - just made me narcoleptic for a few days. Nowhere near as much fun.
I know, right? I’ve been reading biographies on Fritz and, oh, such a cool guy. There was a gorgeous quote that just touched my heart, though it was from Voltaire to Fritz - “Remember that I shall always be fool enough to love you, just as I am fair enough to admire you.” What a cool thing to say about someone, towards the end of your lives. Definitely got some tears from me. But the guy is fascinating to read about to be sure. Such a fascinating man, such a fascinating life.
I need a nice, subtle Hetalia reference on my person one of these days. I only have more obvious things, but I feel like something more subtle would be fun. Maybe a simple sticker for 5 meters, like runners have for marathons (26.1).
And now we’re close to May and he’s still not updating. He’s being doing professional stuff, so we know he’s okay, but I just feel bad for the guy. He seems to take such joy in interacting with the fandom and running his blog - he must be hellishly busy not to be able to do that.

I feel much less ignorant now, and much less surprised that Tokyopop did collapse. That’s a scumbag move, I agree. We could probably have had volumes three and four stateside by now if Tokyopop hadn’t hoarded Hetalia as they toppled.
I wish my boss was like that! I’ve only ever worked with people drastically older than me, and completely out of touch with geek culture. It would be cool to work somewhere even where I might not get stared at for reading during my lunch break.

And then Gingrich recently withdrew, which leaves Romney. Not as bad as Santorum, but still woefully out of touch with reality, in my opinion. Just today news broke of him giving a speech telling college students struggling with loans - get this - to just borrow the money from their parents instead. Oh, what a brilliant idea, Romney sir! I’ll just go ask my parents for that spare 100K they have floating around…
Augh, CISPA passed on Thursday after all. I was so pissed. It hadn’t been 4 hours since I called my representative to vote against it… and now they have the corporations on their side. Infringement of internet freedom might actual be enough to make me move to Canada. I’m an author; I need to be able to Google things like “how to dismember a body” and “best fast-acting poisons” without fear of repercussions. >:
